| | Excited to run outside in good weather, but it was so windy, it really sucked my energy fast. Is that because I am old and chubby? I ran until mile 3, then I walked about a mile, and finished the last mile running. |

Fight For Air Run (6.2 Miles) 01:06:00 | | So this was a lot harder than I was anticipating, with the hills seeming really steep. I should have pushed myself harder as I thought I should have finished in 1:01 or close to that, but it was still 5 minutes faster than my 10K last year. Anyway, glad I did it, and am looking forward the Deseret News 10K on July 25.

| | Today's run was a short treadmill run, but on Sunday, I made my family walk about a 2 mile stretch of the 10K to see why I said the hills were a killer!! (now they agree). Then yesterday I went for a 3 mile walk, I tried to run, but was still sore, so I decided to take it easy today. I think tomorrow will be much easier.

| | Ran outside today, starting downhill. I ran fast, about 1/12-2 songs, so I figure it was a 71/2 to 8min mile. It made me tired, but I decided I need to start doing that more often. The last 1.5 miles are uphill, but I need to work on my hills so I can stay more consistent. I was still a little sore from Sat., but well worth it. |

| | Spent the weekend in the lovely town of Wendover (ha ha), so I did a little treadmill run, and then used the weights to do the circuit. Man I am wimpy! |

| | 4 mile TM run today as I couldn't get motivated to go outside in the wind. It was a hard run, though, I was aiming for 5, but did a preset performance workout that kept putting the incline to 12. I pooped out at 4! |

| | TM today cause it's raining super hard! I did a preset 20 min. fartlek which was 1.7 miles. Never done that before and I assume a tm fartlek is similar to doing that on a track? Finished up with 2 mi of hills. Nice!

| | Camping at Rockport for the weekend, so my son Tanner wanted to go run with me. He is an awesome runner, he ran up the big hills, no stopping, until at about 1.5 mi., he had an asthma attack. We didn't have his inhaler with us, usually he doesn't need it, so we walked most of the way back to the trailer. It was nice to spend that time with him, though

| | Still at Rockport, so today I got up early and ran on the road to the entrance. There are three really big hills, so I had to walk up the last half, oh well, the view was absolutely incredible. I saw a deer, and some chipmunks, and thankfully only smelled the skunk!! It was a beautiful morning! |

| | Nice paid 6 mile run today!! Since Amber is finally done with driver's ed, I don't have to go pick her up from school, so now I can run during the 3 hours I have to stay at work. (they don't let us drive our bus home during summer school for Hartvigsen) Anyway, ran through SSL, on a nice cloudy morning, and you really can't beat getting paid to exercise!! |
